Education is the Foundation

We commit to providing innovative public education environments for students, their parents and teachers by empowering them to collaboratively create learning opportunities which will develop responsible and contributing members of society.

Here you will find information on the state mandated assessments that we are required to administer as well as resources for further information on the individual tests. There is general assessment information for the school year posted here to keep you current with test dates. As the testing dates approach, you will find details of locations, times, dates, etc. for each test posted. We respect your choices as the educator of your child, and also appreciate your understanding of our requirements as a publicly funded charter school. Please check back often as information is updated throughout the year.

If you do not find the information you need, please contact your Education Specialist or ES Advisor.

End of Year Assessment

Our school charter requires a student assessment at the end of the school year. To fulfill this requirement, all students must take a yearly summative assessment per the Student Agreement. Our school has an internal End of Year assessment for this purpose. However, this assessment is waived when a student takes the state mandated assessments through CAASPP as this state test provides the necessary progress data. Any students in grades 3-8, and 11 who do not take the CAASPP tests will take the mandatory internal End of Year Assessment. This test will be administered at the same time and location that the student is already scheduled to attend if he/she were taking the CAASPP test. The internal End of Year Assessment will be a computer-based, adaptive test and include ELA and Math for Grades 3-8 and 11.

Transitional Kindergarten Assessment

  • The Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten Assessment is a brief assessment that assesses students letters/sounds, word recognition, number sense, and math concepts total.
  • All Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students take this pre/post assessment.
  • Total test time is 15 to 30 minutes. Scoring by hand takes less than 5 minutes.
